Silvaplana in the focus of the racing fleet - without wind

After a promising wheather forcast eerything was prepared to have the racing course. A sudden rainshower killed the southerly winds and ended the day. Some paddle surf and slack lining fun competition entertained the rider. Here Fotos from yesterday and todays "action".

Despite the lack of official results we like to present the swiss male equipe at the Kitesurf Tour Europe in Silvaplana in an overview:

Daniel Rey, 31 year old from Bruck close to Zurich. He`s riding since 1999 when the sport began to become professional in terms of equipment. Daniels living profession is conultant and if he is not riding with a kite Daniel

goes climbing and surfing. In Winter his preferred activities in winter time is telemark skiing.

38 year old Mike Martin started kiteboarding in 2003 and since that time more and more focussed on racing. Mike is working in a travel agency and lives in Sempbach close to Luzern.

17 year young Marco Brunschwiler from Gossau will be the young gun in the racing fleet.

Martin Berger (45 years from Biel-Benken) already placed 5th on Lake Podersdorf kiteboard racing and is also doing a lot of snowkiting in the winter.

Michael Kaspar (39 years) may be one of the most experienced rider at all: Michael was one of the pioneers developing since 1992 Kites to be used on snow into the sport we now can indulhe on the water. “It was a curious and sometimes dangerous development of kite, controlbar and it took a lot effort to enerate a sporting good wich is nowadays safe and fund to almost anyone doing training sessions in a professional school”. Michael told about his early days.
