The ultimate day of the Kitesurf Tour Europe arrived and it was all to play for in the course racing division. With the Freestyle competition finished yesterday, all eyes turned to the top formula riders competing for the title.
The previous nights festivities may have had an impact on the performance of many today as one of the biggest parties in Southern Italy was held at Hang Loose beach with over 2000 people present.
Freestyler dominating day 2 of the KTE ItalIn the morning we started again with the Skippersmeeting at 10 am. The wind was already stronger than the day before, so that we were able to start with Formula Racing at 11 am. Race Director Markus Schwendtner decided to start the day with three races and keep an eye on the increasing wind. Olly once again dominated the races winning 2 of the 3 races, and coming a close 2nd in the final race, due to hitting a plastic bag in the water just 10m from the line.
During the first day of the competition at the KTE in Gizzeria we were able to finish 5 Races.
Gizzeria, Italy 24 July 2014: The European Championships of Freestyle and Kitesurf Tour Europe Finals in Formula Racing are poised to witness a battle of champions in Gizzeria, Lido.
From 24th – 27th July the Kitesurf Tour Europe, official European Championships in Kiteboarding Freestyle, will kick off at the Hang Loose Beach in Gizzeria Lido. At the same time we are more than happy to be part of the "Aloha Beach Party".
Italian Riccardo Leccese still dominates the racings at the Kitesurfcup Sylt - he wins five of six racings. The German

From 01. - 06. July 2014 the Kitesurf Cup Sylt will welcome the World's best Course Racer at the "Brandenburger Strand". This regatta will be a 50 points event as stated at the IKA website. So Course Racer get ready for another great event in Germany.

The KTE 2013 season officially started this morning with the 1st skippersmeeting hold by course director Markus Schwendtner and freestyle head judge Bas Koole.
The online Registration for the first stop of the MINI Kitesurf Tour Europe at the Almanarre Kite Master is now closed. If you still like to take part at the competition you need to register at the Event (Wednesday 29th May 15:00-17:30).
Tomorrow (Saturday 25th) evening (8pm) we will close the online registration. If you want to compete in Hyeres/Almanarre at the Almanarre Kite Master you need to hurry up.
