1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The ISAF
Racing Rules of Sailing.

1.2 No national authority prescriptions will apply.

1.3 Appendix BB of the Racing Rules of Sailing and the KTE Freestyle
Judging Guidelines.

1.4 The IKA class rules (equipment limitations)

1.5 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will
take precedence.

2 ADVERTISING
Competitors may be required to carry advertising for event and tour
sponsors  both on their kiteboards, and a lycra vest if supplied by
the organiser.

3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
All entries shall meet the requirements of ISAF regulation 19
-Eligibility Code. Competitors shall be member of their national kite
Association.

3.1 The tour is open to all riders of the Kiteboard class.

3.2
Eligible riders may enter by registering online through the
official website or on the registration day of any tour stop.

3.4
The following restrictions on the number of riders apply :
32 riders max for male and female freestyle – pre-qualifier will apply if required.
minimum age for participation is 14 years no Junior ranking will be evaluated but the best performing youngster
will be rewarded no restrictions in fleet size for kite racing.

3.5 Seeding will be executed by IKA world ranking up to date to the event registration.

3.6 Competitors shall provide the following documents prior to completing registration formalities on site: entry form, proof of entry fee payment, evidence of third party liability, proof of age, parental guardian asset (for those under the age of 18), medical treatment permission (for those under the age of 18 or on their parents medical insurance policy

4 FEES
Required fees are per event:

Racing 50€

Freestyle 50€

If we do not receive the registration fee until two weeks before the event
an late registration fee of EUR 20.00 will be added.

5 SCHEDULE
5.1 Registration:

On site registration on the first date of any tour stop Timing and place of registration and of the first skippersmeeting will
be announced on the web site. Partizipation is mandatory.

5.2 Dates of racing:
Dates will be updated on www.kitesurftour.eu
Detailed shedule will be announced by the race officer up to theskippersmeeting

5.3 Number of races Will be determined by the head judge in accordance with the conditionsand IKA/KTE rules and posted on the race board at each race.

5.4
The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race each day is confirmed    by the head judge in accordance with the
conditions and IKA/KTE race rules.

6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS AND JUDGING GUIDELINES

The sailing instructions will be available after the initial ridersmeeting on first day of each event as posted on the race board

7 THE COURSES
The courses will be posted on the  official notce board.

8 PENALTY SYSTEM
8.1 The scoring penalties will apply as defined in the IKA/KSE racerule

8.2 Decisions of the protest committee will be final.

9 TOURSCORING

9.1 The tour scoring system for the KTE will be based on a high point scoring model

Place 1 = 100 Point

Place 2 =   99 Points

Place 3 =   98 Points

...
A non participating rider receives no points.

The event s of the Kitesurf Tour Europe will count to the IKA World
Ranking in each discipline according IKA rules.

Any event will be evaluated with the same scoring factor for the tour
ranking.

In case of no wind points will be allocated to all riders on the basis
of the number of registered competitors plus two places.

The KTE ranking for the year will be determined by the cumulative
adding of the total points gained after discards. With discards as
follows:

1 – 3 rounds no discards

4 – 5 rounds one discard

6 – 7 rounds two discards


In case of a tie the riders event results shall be listed in order of
best to worst and at the first point where there is a difference the
tie shall be broken in favor of the rider with the best results. No
discard scores are used at this point. If the tie remains, then
discard scores will be used to break the tie.

Priorities
1.) Freestyle single elimination
2.) Racing 1-4
3.) Freestyle single elimination
4.) Racing 5-...

 

10 SUPPORT BOATS
Support boats shall be marked with rescue boat markings as
appropriate.

11 PRIZES
Final price money split will be determined and announced via the web
site in any case we grant more than 50.000€ for the tour in total.

12 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See
Racing Rules of Sailing (RSS 4), Decision to Race. The organizing
authority will not accept any liability for material damage or
personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to,
during, or after the regatta.

13 INSURANCE
Every competitor must provide proof of third liability insurance,
covering professional kiteboarding competition in the hosting country,
at the time of registration on the event site.

14 RIGHTS
In registering for the event, competitors automatically grant to the Organising Authority the right in perpetuity to make, use and show from time to time at their discretion, any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproduction of them, taken during the period of the event, for the said Championship as defined in the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions in which he/she participates without compensation.

15 ATTENDANCE

Attendance at the Opening Ceremony, Prize Giving and Closing Ceremony is mandatory. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to those whose standard of attire is not commensurate with the occasion.
